Well done to Ian Williams for completing the Olympians Westminster Mile along with fellow Sabreur Olympians James Williams, Mark Slade and Eloise (neé) Smith. James and Ian did fencing proud with James finishing joint first and Ian in third place.
Club hoodie tops
We are going to do another round of orders for club tracksuit tops at the end of next week, so that they will arrive before the summer break so please get in touch with JoJo ASAP if you would like one.
Order deadline Friday 3rd June 2016
The tops are available in the following unisex sizes:
Small: 34" - 36"
Medium: 38" - 40"
Large 42" - 44"
X Large 46" - 48"
XX Large 50" - 52"
Child sizes are:
7 - 8yrs
9 - 11yrs
12 - 13yrs
(Please note the child sizes are overhead hoodies, no zip)
Plenty of members already have the tops so you should be able to try one on to check the size if you're not sure.
If it helps, Ian is a large, JoJo is a small and a few of our 11 year olds tried on the child size and it fitted nicely with room for growth spurts. If you have "longer than average" arms, go for the larger size.
The tops cost £30 for adult sizes and £25 for child. If you'd like to order one please email your size to: firstname.lastname@example.org
A £10 deposit by bank transfer or in cash on club night is requested when you place your order - or you can pay in full on ordering (this would be preferred)

British Fencing is hosting an exciting event as part of its partnership with Wilkinson Sword at Waterloo Station on Thursday 9th June to showcase the sport and encourage people to get involved in some way – from an active participant in the sport itself, to following and supporting our team in Rio. The day will be running from 12noon through until 8pm with compered fencing demonstrations taking place, opportunities for people to have a go with plastic fencing kit and a reaction game to allow people to test their reaction speeds. As part of the event, we are keen to get representatives of all weapons, ages and abilities from local clubs along to help promote the sport as well as using it as an opportunity to advertise your club.

It was another sucessful weekend for the club at the Cole Cup international satelite tournament at the Leon Paul Centre.
In the womens' event Bridgett Pleasant made the top 8. In the mens' event both James Potter and Curtis Miller achieved top 8 finishes whilst Jonathan Webb was 3rd. Jonathan (JJ) had an excellent win over Koch (Germany) 15-14 in the quarter finals, but eventual winner Polossifakis (Can) proved too strong edging him out 15-8 in the semi finals.
Other Camden fencers Nathan Potter and Julian Ghosh finished 25th and 26th respectively.
Congratulations to all our fencers !!
Congratulations to James Potter for his win last night at the Camden Trophy. James fought off stiff competition from Sam Gibbs winning by one hit in the final. Soji Aiyenuro (winner for the two previous months) and Barry Coulter were equal third. Well done guys !!
