Duty of Care and Welfare
Camden Fencing Club acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults, and is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and British Fencing Association’s requirements.
Our club’s Welfare Officer(s) is the designated person within a sports club with primary responsibility for managing and reporting concerns about children and adults, and for putting into place procedures to safeguard all, especially children in the club.
The club’s safeguarding policy recognises that the welfare and interests of children are paramount in all circumstances. A copy of the policy is available in the governance section.
All welfare and safeguarding concerns should be discussed with your club Welfare Officer (whom is also the designated person for safeguarding at your club).
If you wish to discuss any aspects of the policy or any procedures, please contact the club’s Welfare Officer.
If the matter is of an urgent nature, please mark your correspondence as URGENT, and you will be contacted by the Welfare Officer within 24hrs.
