A Very Successful Home Tournament

The Camden LPJS Sabre tournament proved to be a record for the club yesterday with 27 of our young fencers taking part; we have never had as many Camden fencers compete in one event before.
Our fencers performed really well in the competition and we came away with an impressive 3 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals across the various age groups.  Camden fencers' final placings were as follows:

Well done to you all .....great performances!!

Without the help of all the volunteers the tournament would not have been such a success, you really were a great team.
Special thanks to Shuang, Li, Shannon, Sally, Shilpi for running the refreshments (Shuang/Li/Oliver ....wonderful sushi and spring rolls, Linxuan thanks for making such amazing chocolate brownies!), to Bronagh and John who ran the events out front with such efficiency, thanks to John, Anthony, Bronagh, Phil, Rob, Ann, Jack and Kajetan for setting up and clearing the pistes on the Friday and Sunday, thanks Sally for collecting and returning all the kit to Leon Paul.
Thanks also to our referees: Megan, Menna, Bridget, Isaac, Jacqui, Olivier, Phil, Lumeng and Zac.
Of course a huge thanks goes to Pat who did too many jobs to list!
Finally thanks to Eden, Sarah and Ian for coaching our fencers on the day ....26 students for 3 coaches certainly kept them busy.

A great team effort everybody ....many many thanks
