GB Sabre Team Finish 6th in Dakar

Congratluations to Soji Aiyenuro, Curtis Miller and JJ Webb who along with Will Deary were part of the GB Sabre team that finished 6th in the Dakar World Cup team event yesterday, this was the highest senior GB Sabre placing in a number of years.
The GB team beat Algeria in their opening match 45/32, then in the last 8 they lost 45/29 to Hungary.  In their first play off match the guys beat former World Champions Germany in a thrilling 45/44 encounter and then lost 45/31 to France.  A great result for the GB fencers.

In the individual event all three of the Camden fencers fought through to the second day but were eliminated in their last 64 direct elimination matches.
