It's that time of year again when we award the annual club trophies. In advance of the club Christmas dinner tomorrow evening where the awards will be announced please can you send me your nominations for the following categories: ... Best Mentor Most improved Most Stylish The Coulter/Silver trophy for most damage done If you could email them before 3pm tomorrow it would be much appreciated. Could last year's trophy holders please bring the trophies along. On behalf of Camden Fencing Club we wish all members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2017 9/12/2016 Camden Trophy ResultsCongratulations to Soji Aiyenuro for winning the Camden Trophy on Tuesday, beating Sam Gibbs in the final. This takes Soji back to the top of the Camden rankings. Well done also to Zak Klein and Asim Puljic who were joint third. Results and rankings can be downloaded below:
The next Ian & James Williams' training session will be weekend of the 17/18 December (a joint one with military).
Venue is Gymnasium 1 Royal School of Military Engineering Brompron Barracks ME4 4UG. Nearest hotel (a 1 minute walk from the venue) is the King Charles Hotel http://www.kingcharleshotel.co.uk/. There a number of other hotels/b&bs a short distance from the venue I am sure you can find room. Catering will be sandwich and snacks for one midday meal only. Cost is £50 per day which will include the midday refreshments. Please confirm via the invite James Williams sent out a couple of weeks ago or alternatively email Ian ( ianwilliamsfencing@gmail.com). James Williams and Ian will be coaching hopefully Charlie doing physio. A reminder that the next round of the Camden Trophy will take place tomorrow night Tuesday 6th December at the usual Westminster Academy Tuesday venue.
For anybody not familiar with this event, it's our club monthly competition; format will be one round of poules followed by D.E with repecharge. Warm up 7pm poules will start promptly at 7.30pm. Visitors welcome. If you are running late and will not be there for the 7pm latest check in then please text Ian on 07981 217053 |
