25/3/2016 Easter closure detailsThe Easter closing times are as follows:
Junior fencers (Monday & Fridays) - Last session 21st March. Club re-opens on 11th April. However secondary Foil and Sabre fencers (those who attend the 7.30-9pm sessions) may join in the adult sessions on the following nights - Tuesday 5th (7-10pm - Royal Oak ) and Thursday 7th April (7-9.30pm - Acland Burghley gym). Adult fencers (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays) - There will be no sessions running during the week of 28th March - 1st April. All other sessions will run as normal. Congratulations to foil coach Richard Kruse and the rest of the GB&NI men’s foil team who secured their place for the Olympics last weekend. Their ninth place at the Bonn World Cup along with Germany's failure to go beyond the semi-finals and Italy staying inside the top four meant Britain were the highest ranked European nation outside the world's top four and so qualify.
Richard and the GB foil guys have had a brilliant 2016 qualifying period, including their third place finish at the Paris World Cup last month. We are immensely proud to have Richard as part of our Camden family and will be right behind him leading up to the summer. Be sure to congratulate Richard when you see him around the club. Also congratulations to two of our fencers, JJ Webb and Raphael van Hoffelen who have both been selected to be part of the GB&NI team for the upcoming Junior World Championships in Bourges, France. |
